Today I read Jude, talking about keeping faith and not being deceived by those acting like they have faith. Today I considered that many people say they believe but are not believers.
Faithful and Fakers
There are those that have faith and salvation and those that are faking it. Those of us with salvation through Christ are to fight with all we have in us to guard and cherish the gift of faith. We are to build ourselves up and pray in the Holy Ghost, and some are to also have compassion. Because some people have snuck in among us, seeming like they are religious but are really villains. There are false teachers, people trying to do away with teaching of Christ Jesus, murmurs, mockers, complainers, those focused on the sensual, and people doing whatever they want to do. They will face judgement like the unbelievers delivered from Egypt, the rebellious angels now imprisoned, and Sodom and Gomorrha. God knows the faithful from the fake.
Questions and Thoughts for Today
Are you faithful, believing in Christ as our savior and trying to please God? …Or… Are you fake, only really interested in your own desires and pleasures?
