Today I read Zechariah 1, in which the people are told to return to God, angels are checking the earth, and that Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem are scattered abroad. Today I considered that God controls the earth and God is allowing His children to grow in other locations.
Horsemen Among the Myrtles
God has angels who were sitting among the myrtles that reported on the earth being calm (Zechariah 1:7-17). An angel sitting on a red horse and those under him on red, speckled and white horses checked the whole earth to make sure it continued to be calm. God has dominion over all the earth and every day we do not experience earthquakes, sink holes, and other disturbances in the earth is because of God and His angels.
Questions and Thoughts for Today
God gives me the impression that those of Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem are being supported in foreign countries and still growing (Zechariah 1:17-21). There are communities of Jewish people around the world including in the United States, France, Canada, United Kingdom, Argentina, Russia, Germany, Australia, and Brazil. We should thank God for His angels and the calm we experience on the earth each day. When did you last thank God for a calm earth?
