Today I read 2 Chronicles 4, in which the furnishing of the temple are built and brought inside the temple. Today I considered that you have to wait to truly furnish a building after you have the building.
Building Then Furnishing
After the building was complete, Solomon made furniture and the items for the inside along with collecting items others had made (2 Chronicles 4:1-5:1). Solomon built an altar, tables, candlesticks, lamps, tongs, separate wash locations for offerings and for the priests, and more. Huram made pots, shovels, basins, fleshhooks, and more. Solomon brought in the silver, gold, instruments, and treasures his father David had dedicated. Builders know they need to complete the location before finishing all the items that go inside.
Questions and Thoughts for Today
God is showing us a process for our lives, step by step. First you need a plan or goal or vision. Then you need to decide on a location before building. After the building is complete you can furnish the building with needed items for your activities.
Have you completed the first step, praying for and receiving a plan from God?
If you have, have you prayed to make sure you are in the right location for the work God would have you do?
