Today I read Joshua 12, listing kings the children of Israel defeated under the leadership of Moses and Joshua. Today I considered that we need successive leaders with a shared vision for true achievement.
Defeated Kings and Land
The children of Israel were led to defeat kings and take possession of the land (Joshua 12:1-24). Moses led the conquering of land before crossing the Jordan. After crossing the Jordan Joshua led the conquering of the land including killed 31 kings. The children of Israel possessed all types of land reaching all the way to the sea, including mountains valleys, plains, wilderness, etc. Establishing land for the Israelites took the leadership of both Moses and Joshua.
Questions and Thoughts for Today
Sometimes a group needs leaders with a shared vision for a long-term result. We have a lot of leaders in the United States including those over towns, cities, counties, and states. If people want an area to truly prosper there needs to be a shared vision among them like Moses and Joshua shared a vision such that when Moses was gone Joshua still worked to accomplish the vision.
