Today I read Malachi 2, in which God warns the priesthood He can curse them and warns Judah and husbands about being unfaithful. Today I considered that we should be careful of who prays for us and God is watching those who are unfaithful.
Warning Priests
God promised life and peace to Levi but warns He will curse the corrupt priests (Malachi 2:1-9). Levi feared God, was truthful, turned people from evil, and was peaceful and fair. Priests that do not have not heart for God and cause people to do wrong, God will curse them. God will curse the priests, the priests’ blessings, and the priests’ children. We should be careful who we let pray for us because corrupt priests’ blessings could also be a curse.
Warning Unfaithful Judah and Husbands
God warns both Judah and husbands to be faithful to One God and the wife of their youth (Malachi 2:10-16). Judah married people who worshiped false gods. Husbands betrayed their first covenant wife. God will not hear their prayers or accept their offerings because He witnessed their bad deeds. We should remember that God knows not only our hearts, but sees our actions and treatment toward him and our spouses.
