Today I read 2 Samuel 22, David’s psalm of praise when God delivered him from his enemies and from Saul. Today I considered that David always acknowledged God when he was successful.

David Praises God

David spoke a song of praise to the Lord (2 Samuel 22:1-51). David acknowledged God as his rock, shield, high tower, refuge, savior, strength, power, and more. David paints a vivid picture of God’s might with his words. David said God protected him, delivered him from the enemy, and rewarded him according to his righteousness. David said God protected him from external enemies, internal plots of his people, and even strangers submitted to him. David said he will praise and thank God who has shown mercy to him.

Questions and Thoughts for Today

When we pray with people about situations we are facing or continuously talk about an issue in our lives or even face a sudden problem, we need to thank God when he brings us out. We not only need to thank God, but acknowledge what he has done for us to everyone else. David told them what God had done for him.

When was the last time you praised God and told people about all that God had done for you?

I do suggest you read 2 Samuel 22. It is always good to read the Bible yourself. I believe David’s words here paint a better picture of God’s beauty and might than I could state in my own words.
