Today I read Exodus 3 and 4, in which Moses is given the task of taking the Hebrews out of Egypt and travels back to Egypt. Moses was afraid he could not do the task God gave him. Today I considered how God gives us what we believe we need to accomplish His tasks and that our obedience can lead to others praising God.
Moses’ Fears Addressed
When we are afraid we cannot accomplish the task God set, God can give us what we believe we need. God called to Moses out of the burning bush explaining that He heard the cry the children of Israel and God was sending Moses to bring them out of Egypt. God gave Moses the things Moses asked for including God’s name (Exodus 3:13-15), a sign to make the people believe (Exodus 4:1-8), and even someone to speak for him because of his speech impediment (Exodus 4:10-14). We must do all we can to be obedient to God’s plans, but we can ask for things we believe are necessary for success.
Obedience Leading to Praise to God
Moses’ obedience led to people worship God. Moses returned to Egypt. Moses told Aaron everything and they went together for Aaron to tell the elders and do the signs (Exodus 4:30). The people then believed and worshiped God. As people who love God, our desire should be to encourage others through our obedience to praise God.

When was the last time you thought you couldn’t accomplish what God would have you do, but God provided the resources right on time?
