Today I read Ecclesiastes 11, where God says to invest in many ventures and to remember God in our actions while we are young. Today I considered that God told us to diversify and to watch what we do while young.
Diversify and Remember
Diversify our investments and remember God in our actions (Ecclesiastes 11:1-10). Individuals are to invest in seven or eight different investments and even overseas because we do not know what will succeed. Even when planting seeds in the ground, we do not know which will grow. While young we can run around doing a lot and seeing a lot but must remember God. Keeping from evil in our youth protects us from problems later in life.
Questions and Thoughts for Today
Many people decide on one career path or focus on one or two investments that contribute to their lives. God says to have seven or eight different investments contributing to your life.
How many different investments have you spent money on to contribute to your life?
Many children are told they can get away with stuff while they are younger, but God does not agree. God says that the actions of their youth can come back to haunt them.
