Today I read Daniel 7, where Daniel dreamed of four beasts that represent four kingdoms rising on the earth and was troubled by the dream. Today I considered that sometimes what God warns us about we can consider troubling but we should still take note of it.
Four Beasts or Kingdoms on Earth
Daniel was laying in bed when he had a vision of four beasts and was given the interpretation of the vision (Daniel 7:1-28). Daniel dreamed of four beasts coming from the sea: a lion with eagle wings, a bear with ribs in its mouth; a leopard with four wings and heads; and a beast with 10 horns, iron teeth, and brass nails that warred against the saints. The beasts represent four kings upon earth with the last kingdom being different from the others and consuming the whole earth. The fourth beast will consist of diverse people, speak against God, fight against the saints of God, and gaining dominion for a time until the Most High God passes judgement. Then God will give the kingdom to the saints of God. Daniel was troubled by the vision but kept it in mind.
Questions and Thoughts for Today
Sometimes God’s warnings worry us even as they guide us. God warned Daniel of the kingdoms coming in the earth. Daniel wrote it down even though he felt troubled by it, and now we can read it. Now we know a day will come when people are against those following God. In the Bible, God warns us of things that are coming to prepare and guide us.
