Today I read John 9, where Jesus heals the blind man and explains making the world be able to see. Today I considered that Jesus also came to give us the ability to see the truth of Salvation clearly and not be blinded and in sin.

God’s Glory for Healing the Blind

Jesus told the disciples the blind man was blind to show the works of God (John 9:1-41). On the Sabbath day, Jesus spit on the dirt, made clay, and put it on the blind man’s eyes. Jesus told the blind man to wash it off in the pool of Siloam and the man was healed. The Pharisees confirmed with the blind man’s parents that he was blind since birth and asked about his healing. The parents told the Pharisees to ask him because he was grown. The former blind man argued Jesus was not a sinner to be able to heal him, so the Pharisees kicked the former blind man out. Jesus told the former blind man that he was the Son of God and he believed. Jesus explained that he came to the world for people be able see and some will be made blind and stay in their sin.

Questions and Thoughts for Today

Jesus can help us see the light and the truth in situations instead of being blinded by sin. All we have to do is ask God.

When have you sincerely asked God to show you the truth of a situation and was surprised at how much God revealed to you?
