Today I read John 17, where Jesus prayed for the disciples and for future disciples. Today I considered that Jesus’ life on earth is about God showing his love for us.

God Be Glorified

Jesus prayed to God that they give God the glory (John 17:1-26). Jesus asked God that as Jesus is part of God and gives God glory, may the disciples also be part of Jesus and give God glory. Jesus said that he lost none except the one meant to be lost for the prophecy to be fulfilled. Jesus asked God to unite them into one those that love Jesus. Then the people of the world will know God loves them as God as loves Jesus.

Questions and Thoughts for Today

God loves us and sent his son, Jesus to save those that believe in him. This is a Heavenly Father that loves us so much he was willing to sacrifice his son for our souls. If you sit back and think about it, the Bible is a love letter of God loving us and wanting time, acknowledgement, and obedience from his children.

Do you see God’s desire for time with us throughout the Bible?
