Today I read John 20, where Jesus rose, spoke to Mary, ascended to heaven to see God, and visited the disciples. Today I considered that Jesus blesses those that believe in him.

Jesus’ Resurrection

Jesus rose and Mary first saw Jesus to spread the news to the disciples about Jesus rising from the dead (John 20:1-31). Mary Magdalene found Jesus was gone from his tomb and ran to tell the disciples. Peter and another disciple ran to Jesus’ tomb to see. Peter went in to verify that Jesus was gone but his burial cloths were still in the tomb. While Mary Magdalene cried at the tomb, Jesus came to her and told her that he was going to the father. That evening Jesus came to the disciples and breathed on them to receive the Holy Ghost. Thomas was not there when Jesus came and said he needed to touch Jesus’ wounds to believe. Jesus came back 8 days later and told Thomas he could touch Jesus’ wounds. Jesus said those that do not see Jesus but believe are blessed.

Questions and Thoughts for Today

Faith in Jesus and his might comes with blessings. When people believe in the miracles Jesus performed including healing, making wine, calming the winds, etc., they can also believe in these miracles for their lives. Pray and let God answer through the grace of Jesus Christ. Standing in the faith a woman prayed the storm away. People have prayed to God through Jesus for healing and other prayers that have been answered.

Do you know someone who prayed and received a blessing or an answer?
