Today I read Hebrews 5, where a baby in Christianity understands that Jesus died for our salvation. Today I considered that one of the first things a Christian should understand is that Jesus died to save us.
Basics of Salvation
Everyone should understand and be able to teach the basics of Jesus dying for our salvation (Hebrews 5:1-14). Every high priest needs to understand the failings of people to deal gently with them when offering sacrifices for the people’s sins. God called Jesus to be the high priest under the order of Melchizedek. Jesus felt pain and sorrow as he offered prayers to God, that God answered. God’s Son Jesus showed trusting obedience even as he suffered for us to have eternal salvation. People should be teaching this basic information instead of asking to be taught like they are still a baby on milk instead of mature and eating meat.
Questions and Thoughts for Today
All Christians, even new ones just becoming Christians, need to understand that Jesus died to save us. Jesus’s death and resurrection gave us eternal salvation.
