Today I read Hebrews 12, reminding us of how much Jesus endured and encouraging us to keep going towards God and not giving up. Today I considered that obstacles come, but we can’t let them stop us.
Keep Going
We are to push aside everything that is stopping us including sins so that we can run the race God has for us to run. Christ is our example, and he resisted temptation even to the point of bleeding and facing crucifixion. When God corrects us, we are to still give God reverence like we would our earthly fathers. We have to keep going and clear the path for long-distance running. We don’t want a small thing to make us miss the blessing like Esau who sold his legacy for a little food. We have to keep going to be part of God’s kingdom and serve God.
Questions and Thoughts for Today
Jesus endured so much suffering for us and yet he did not stop. Jesus willingly died for our sins because he loves us. Because Jesus gave so much for us, we should not give up either. We may face people trying to get us to do something that is wrong or trying to get us to take another path, but we can’t do that. We have to follow the path and actions God would have us take. Our lives and our futures are priceless in comparison to the small thing we could get right now.
