Today I read Proverbs 14, about the impact of the prudent versus the foolish individual on leaders. Today I considered that we need knowledgeable people as workers for leaders, foolish workers harm leaders, and the company you keep could help you become wise.
The Prudent and the Leader
Prudent people and leaders are valuable. A prudent person is knowledgeable and careful. They understand what is going on and do not just listen to what everyone says. Leaders appreciate knowledgeable workers and are respected because of the number of people following them. We need both people who understand things and leaders others are willing to follow so that society is organized and unified.
The Foolish and the Leader
Foolish people harm themselves and the leaders. A foolish person believes anything told to them, makes fun of sin, is easily angered, rage, and destroy their own house. Leaders are furious with foolish workers that cause them shame and destroyed by the need their followers face. We see that foolish people can help devastate leaders.
Questions and Thoughts for Today
Who we hang around matters, whether they are wise or foolish. Proverbs 13:20a says walking with wise men you’ll be wise. Proverbs 14:7 says to leave the presence of foolish men when you realize they have no knowledge. Have you ever looked at those around to you make sure you are around wise people?
