Today I read Proverbs 24, which talks about several topics including strength for the wise and not giving up. Today I considered that increasing our strength through wisdom allows us to help others and God wants us to get up again and not give up easily.
Strength for the Wise
God wants us to build up our strength and succeed (Proverbs 24:5-6, 10-11). Wise people are strong and have wise counselors to advise them during conflicts and ensure safety. More strength helps people endure during difficult times and even save others. We should increase our wisdom and strength not just to help ourselves but because we will be able to help those we care about through hard times.
Get Up Again
God does not want us to give up on the mission or tasks He gives us. “For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief” (Proverbs 24:16). We should remember that we may not make it the first or second or even the seventh time, but we need to get up and try again.
Questions and Thoughts for Today
I was thinking that sometimes we fall and have to get back up again so we are stronger next time or we learn something from the experience of falling.
What have you learned or gained when you had to get back up again?
