Today I read Proverbs 26, which warns about the foolish, the slothful, and those that stir up strife. I am using the term troublemakers in this blog post today as that is what I consider people who cause problems. Today I focused on being careful of giving the foolish tasks and knowing to avoid troublemakers.

The Foolish

God warns to be careful of how you interact with a foolish person (Proverbs 26:1-12). People should not trust a foolish person to send messages or deliver parables or stop doing things that caused them to be considered foolish. People should not always answer a foolish person nor give them honor. We should remember that trusting a foolish person to do something can cause misunderstandings and issues.

The Troublemaker

God warns us about troublemakers (Proverbs 16:17-28). Troublemakers lie, cause conflict, set traps for others, and have evil in their hearts. Their actions cause the problems, but without them the conflicts would end. Troublemakers will be exposed and receive the results of the traps they set for others. We should remember to avoid troublemakers so that our lives are more peaceful and enjoyable.

Questions and Thoughts for Today

Do you have a troublemaker around you? Have you ever noticed that when a certain person was not around, everything was peaceful or calmer?
