Today I read the book of Habakkuk which talks about Habakkuk’s vision of the coming violence upon the children of Israel, God dealing with the just versus the unrighteous, and Habakkuk’s prayer.

Today I read the book of Nahum in which Nineveh’s previously granted grace was taken away and their downfall predicted.

Today I read the book of Micah, which talks about God’s anger concerning Samaria, leaders and prophets, what will happen in the last days, and what will happen before the end.

Today I read Jonah which is the story of Jonah being swallowed by the whale. This is about more than a whale but show’s God’s determination to save over 120,000 lives.

Today I read Amos, which talks about the God deciding to punish cities including Israel, giving Israel warnings first and destroying and then rebuilding the temple.

Today I read the book of Joel, which talks about a plague of insects, the coming of the Lord, repentance, judgment, and blessings.
