Today I read Proverbs 6:6-9, and 30:24-28, in which the small ant is a mighty provider. God tells us to be like the ant preparing in the good times of summer and harvest for the harder winter times.

Small But Mighty

God tells us to store up like the ant. One of the smallest creatures on earth is the ant but it is very wise because it stores up food in the summer for the winter (Proverbs 30:24-25). The ant does not have a leader watching over it all the time but it still works diligently during the harvest (Proverbs 6:6-8).

Questions and Thoughts for Today               

Right now, in many locations around the world we are still in the summer and harvest times for our countries. We can easily get food by going to the store or market. Costs may have risen but if we try, we can store up some food and supplies by not buying something else that is more like entertainment. We should prepare now while its harvest season before we face winter season.
